There are a number of up coming events that PSNZ would like to share:
The North Shore Salon opens on the 1st June and closes on 19th June. There are lots of different categories to choose from: In the print competition they are ‘Open’, ‘Monochrome’, ‘’Scapes’ and ‘Nautical’ categories. In the digital comp they are ‘Open’, ‘Song Title’, ‘Yellow’ or ‘Altered Reality’. Go to www.northshoresalon.co.nz for more details and the rules etc. Open to all photographers.
The next edition of CameraTalk is on its way soon; if you’d like to submit a letter, article, advertisement, or other content for the magazine you need to do it by the 28th of May.

Entries for Round Three of the Canon Online Competition close on 25th June. It only takes a few minutes to submit an image to this competition and there’s no entry fee so it’s very straightforward and fun to see if you can get in each month’s ‘Top Ten’. Have to be a PSNZ member to enter.
On 4th June the ‘Creative Focus Competition’ opens. The categories are ‘Creative Focus’, ‘Eerie’, ‘Man made’ and ‘Whimsical’. The closing date is 30th June. Open to all members of affiliated clubs.
The Judges Training weekends are starting soon with the Auckland one in a couple of weeks. Registrations for the Taupo one, 28th -29th August, and the Dunedin one, 30th – 31st October, are open now so if you’re keen it would pay to register soon to avoid missing out. Anyone can register; PSNZ members pay $25 for the weekend, non PSNZ members $60.
The Trenna Packer Salver closes on 18th June. We’ve had six entries from HBPS but need a lot more to get a co-ordinated set of six. Please get entries in to Jane asap hewnchain@gmail.com
