Show & tell presentation of architectural photography and Antarctica trip.
Sarah Caldwell’s presentation was a very much anticipated one and possibly one of the best attended and engaging events we have had.
After a few teething problems with technology we were able to get underway with the presentation.
Sarah provided an insightful journey as an airline pilot and her passion for photography – taking us on a tour through her architectural images around the world.
This was followed by a photo-essay of her trip to Antarctica. Again a fascinating insight into what is required in terms of planning and making such a trip as well as recounting stories behind the images.
Both presentations showed the dedication and detail in making a great image not only in camera but also using post production treatments to complement the subject matter.
Architectural photowalk
Unfortunately Hawke’s Bay couldn’t put on a fabulous sunny day for this photowalk. However, as a bunch of intrepid photo enthusiasts we were still going to make the best of the day. Fortunately the rain held off just long enough to do a small circuit around Napier Centre with a refreshments stop at the Rogue Hop at the end.

Finally, thank you to all who attended one or both of the events.
Events such as these take an incredible amount of time and effort on the part of the committee to make it happen. By supporting the club in this way we will be able to put on more events such as this to help your personal photo journey.
