Auckland Festival of Photography is NZ’s premium international photographic festival, that brings together photographers, curators, students, amateurs and professionals for the aim of encouraging the public to celebrate the art of photography.
A city-wide contemporary art and cultural event which takes place within Auckland’s major galleries, project spaces, non-gallery venues and public sites during June each year. The programme includes a mix of emerging and established artists and comprises existing works and creation of new work.

Officially the festival is between 3 & 20 June 2021. However there are some exhibitions starting in late May and finishing at the end of June.
If you want to make a long weekend of the trip then there is a public holiday on Monday 7 June (Queen’s Birthday).
