Waitangi Weekend Street Photography Opportunity – Vikings
An event in our region over Waitangi Weekend that might be a photo opportunity for the upcoming Set Subject ‘Street Photography’. Nothing formal planned by HBPS and feel free to post on our Facebook site if you want company!
Vikings are set to descend on the Tararua District this weekend for the return of a popular festival.
The two-day annual Norsewood Viking Festival, which took a break in 2025, takes place on Saturday and Sunday. Each action-packed day of immersive historical demonstrations and re-enactments starts at 10am and finishes at 4pm.
Both days open with a parade around Mathews Park, where the event is held.
Cost: $5 entry fee for adults – expect 3000 people on Saturday and 2,000 on Sunday if the weather was good.
