Workshop May 2025: Tryptch
Preparation for Tryptch
Triptych photography involves creating a single artwork from three related images. This format allows photographers to tell a story or convey a theme across three panels, enhancing the narrative depth of their work. In this workshop we will explore this style of photography.
Key Features of Triptych Photography
- Three-Part Structure: Each triptych consists of three images that are often displayed together. They can be related by theme, color, or subject matter.
- Narrative and Composition: The images should work together to create a cohesive story. For example, one photo might show a wide landscape, the second a detailed feature, and the third a close-up of an element within that landscape.
- Visual Harmony: To achieve a successful triptych, the three images should share a common thread, such as color or mood, to ensure they feel like a unified piece.
