Workshop 2021.08.10: One light studio portraits & digital submissions
This evenings workshop is in two parts:
One light studio portraits with Andrew Caldwell
Andrew will give a brief outline of a simple off-camera studio lighting set up. This will then be followed by a live shoot involving the new committee members having their portraits taken for use on the HBPS website. They can bring along a photography related prop as part of their shoot. The aim of this shoot is to create an engaging yet profession portrait of each committee member and more importantly have fun doing so.
Monthly digital submissions with Anil Dumasia
There have been a number of issues regarding the digital submissions each month. This session of the workshop will be cover the following to help you process your images and submit correctly:
- How the process of entering monthly assessments works
- Where to find the entry rules and specifications
- Demonstration on how to save your images correctly using Photoshop and Lightroom
- File naming
- File sizing
- Checking your entries before submitting
- Submitting your entries via email
- Meeting deadlines and consequences of incorrectly formatted entries
